Hi everybody,
Nette and I had a great time on the Isle of Man – our good friends Rolf and Silke looked after us very well, whizzed us around the island and organised a lovely gig for us!
We hope you are all having a fantastic summer and we look forward to seeing you at our gigs in the Autumn: the Tony Woods Project is doing a gig on the 1st September at the Oval Tavern in Croydon, 1.00pm start. We’ll be playing tunes from our up coming release “Into the Ether”, as well as old favourites from our previous four albums… On the Lowlands album I wrote a tune called Country Dance – and I’ve now written a tune called “Country Walk” which you can listen to here.

Chippings From The Woods Shed:
I always try and play melodically. Melodies often include intervals wider than a 2nd or 3rd so experiment playing phrases with larger jumps – get your fingers/lips used to playing 4ths/5ths/6ths/7ths/8ths…
