Nette is there this Friday with her Chet Baker Project and we’ll both be there again on the 27th June for the Way Out West Mingus Tribute.

Chippings From The Woods Shed:
To tell your story some degree of repetition is important to keep the audience following what you’re doing. Practice taking a short motif – just a few notes – and play it on each degree of a scale, up or down. Sounds complicated but it’s actually very easy! Check out the openings of Song for My Father and Bag’s Groove which come down a minor pentatonic in this way.
